Built of steel by Jan Smit Cnz, Alblasserdam, The Netherlands. She was rigged as a three-masted full-rigged ship carrying royals over double topgallant sails.

Brought heavily damaged into Rio de Janeiro. Condemned and converted to the Brazilian steamship Natal.

Sunk near the Brazilian coast.
