Built of iron by G. Cram & Co., Chester for Sharples & Co., Liverpool. She was rigged as a three-masted full-rigged ship carrying royals over single topgallant sails and double topsails.

Turned over to Taylor, Sons & Co., London. Sailed on the emigrant and wool trade between Europe and Australia.

Sold to J.W. Söderlund, Raumo, Finland.

Bought by Armando Marius & Co., Manaos, Brazil to be used as a barge.
