Built of iron by J. Reid & Co., Port Glasgow for W.C. Battersby & Co., Liverpool. She was rigged as a three-masted full-rigged ship carrying royals over single topgallant sails.

Wrecked on the west coast of the Isle of Islay, on a voyage from Dublin to Moss. Captain G.E. Gustafsson and three of the crew were drowned.
