Built of steel by Framnęs Mek. Verksted, Sandefjord, for Østlandets Skoleskib, Oslo, to be used as a schoolship for the Norwegian merchant marine. She was rigged as a three-masted full-rigged ship carrying royals over single topgallant sails, and was equipped with an auxiliary engine.

De-rigged and sunk.

Fully restored and back in service.
- 1956
The ship starred in the movie Windjammer.
- 1998
Stopped serving as a schoolship, and now does cruises in which anyone is accepted as a trainee for a fee.
