Built of steel by D&W Henderson & Son, Glasgow, for A.D. Bordes, Dunkerque. She was the first five-masted barque in the world, and carried royals over double topgallant sails.

Abandoned after her cargo of coal had shifted. The crew was picked up by the German four-masted barque Hebe.
